OUR SERVICES
ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT MAKING
We provide expert knowledge and support to employers throughout the Enterprise Agreement making process to optimise a majority vote for an Agreement. From early planning through to commencement of the bargaining process, we help lead and support employers through negotiations with employee bargaining agents and unions. We also assist employers to ensure the Enterprise Agreement making process adheres to the requirements of the Fair Work Act, including support with lodging documentation to the Fair Work Commission for approval.
As part of our service, we also provide management and advisory support to employers in the event that Protected Industrial Action is undertaken during the Enterprise Agreement process. Our Director Mary-Jo has extensive experience in negotiating Enterprise Agreements across Australia, with multiple union and single union represented. Mary-Jo’s demonstrated experience in securing Enterprise Agreements for employers across multiple complex industries is a testament to her efficient and practical strategy.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Building an effective, engaged and sustainable workforce starts with finding the right employees and cultural fit, and continuing to foster open and clear communication on role objectives and expectations.
Managing conduct and performance is a learned skill that also requires knowledge and understanding of the industrial legislative requirements to ensure it is done in a fair and reasonable manner. When done properly this mitigates the likelihood of legal litigation and claims.
UNFAIR DISMISSAL
In the event of an unfair dismissal claim, we can provide advice and support to employers to efficiently resolve these matters and prevent ongoing litigation in industrial tribunals.
ADVICE AND RESOLUTION
Managing workplace issues and conflict can be challenging and can lead to further risks to a business or organisation. We provide advice and management services to resolve people and workplace issues, including health and safety matters, bullying and harassment, equal opportunity matters and workplace conflict.
WORKPLACE INVESTIGATIONS
The complexities involved in a workplace incident are often not fully known until an investigation is undertaken. An external lens on the investigation can provide confidence to all parties involved in the process. We provide workplace investigation services which involve interviewing relevant parties, assembling the facts of the matter, and determining whether there have been breaches of company policy and procedures, employment contract and industrial legislation. We can also provide recommendations based on the matters arising from the investigation.
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS STRATEGY
Developing an effective industrial relations strategy can help improve company or organisational operations by maximising employee engagement and driving efficiency across the business.
We work with employers to help develop or update their industrial relations strategy and can provide advice based on best practice and knowledge of the relevant industrial instruments. We can also assist employers to build and enhance relationships with employee organisations to achieve shared goals.
INDUSTRIAL & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
Mary-Jo is the preferred go to external consultant for a number of companies that don’t engage their own human resources and employee relations specialist. Just a phone call away for quick advice to dealing with more complex workplace issues.
We provide industrial relations (IR), employee relations (ER) and HR advice to employers across Australia. Whether you need external advice to support your internal ER/IR/HR team or you are looking for a specialised consultant to deliver these services, we can support you.
HR support
We provide strategic, technical advice on complex matters related to HR and people and culture to internal HR teams and managers.
IR support
We support employers in managing relationships with unions, ensuring industrial legislation compliance, overseeing site operations and right of entry.
ER support
We assist employers in carrying out performance reviews and provide advice around managing employee conduct. Working closely with businesses and organisations, we can develop tailored processes for employee onboarding, training for employees, managers and supervisors. We can also provide advice to employers around ER matters and how to meet legislative requirements to avoid litigation in industrial tribunals.
